Save My Battery!

With more and more people using laptops, here is a list of a few things you can do to extend your battery life.
* Go with a smaller screen and smaller hard drive when purchasing your laptop.
This requires less energy.
* Use the power settings built into windows to save more energy.
* Shut off devices and programs you don’t need. This includes any external devices or flash drives, along with software programs that are not needed.
* Dim your display so that it is comfortable for your eyes but isn’t as bright as possible.
* Don’t go to extremes on the temperature. Too hot or too cold is a surefire way to shorten your battery life.
* Let your battery charge fully the first time you use it and let it drain fully periodically so reset the computer’s battery clock.
*Use “sleep” and “hibernate” modes when not using the computer
Follow these tips for a happy and healthy battery.
