Two Rivers Indian Tile

Patty Urda of Two Rivers Tile Company created this 4x4 tile based on the relief found over the original entrance of Wyandotte Hospital.
In 1999, Patty designed a limited edition of 500 6x6 tiles based on the same relief. The limited edition quickly sold out. By popular demand Biddle Gallery commissioned Two Rivers to create an open edition tile, which sells for 28.00.
Patty Urda graduated from Wayne State University with a BFA in ceramics. She worked in the glaze department at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit. In 1997 she founded Two Rivers Tile Company in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Patty will sign the Wyandotte Tile during Wyandotte's 3rd Friday, August 21, 6-9PM at Biddle Gallery.
