We are very excited about the potential EverythingWyandotte.com has to help move the citizens and business owners of Wyandotte into a more… “Think Local, Shop Where You Live” mind set. When you shop or do business with-in Wyandotte, with one of our many independent business owners, a larger percentage of your dollar spent stays within Wyandotte.
For a quick example… Bill goes and buys a shirt from a Wyandotte clothier, Pete who runs that shop, receives his pay check and goes across the street and purchases lunch from Tony. Tony in turn may take his pay check and purchase a piece of art from a local gallery owner, etc. This option as opposed to another scenario, where Bill buys a shirt at a big box franchise store at the mall. In this instance, yes some money still stays downriver. But, a greater amount leaves our community, off to Corporate offices and shareholders, etc. often leaving the state completely.
In the coming weeks I will be posting articles to the explaining this process further, with more statistics and tips for “Thinking Local”. I hope that this will entice to come back and search EverythingWyandotte.com first, to find a Wyandotte shop or Contractor, etc. to patronize.
